Welcome to St. Andrew's Parish Yardley PA

Nurture

We are called to a ministry of presence with one another: to visit shut-ins, the poor, the sick, and the marginalized; and to educate and nurture our youth and ourselves as we recognize that our formation as Christians is an on-going process experienced in community.

Church School: Lauren Tetreault and Sarah Sensenig

Being formed as a Christian is an ongoing process. We hope that Sunday School is a formation experience for the children, just as the Parish Forum is a formation experience for the adults. Worship is also a formation experience for everyone.

Youth Ministry

10:30AM Youth in grades 7 through 12 will come together in an informal setting to examine readings of the day and how it relates to God's presence in their lives and the world.

Youth Group:

Twice monthly on the second and fourth Sunday Evening the youth will gather in a safe place for fellowship, fun and to discover and discuss involvement in ministry in the church and community. The former Sewing House has been converted for our youth meetings.

Parish Forum: Daniell Hamby

10:30 AM. A themed series and conversations relating to topics related to the church calendar and issues of spiritual and current concern to our Christian Life. Held in the Pastor's Conference Room.

Child Care:

9:45AM - 11:15AM through Noon Sunday: There is Child Care provided for children ages 2 through 6 years old by parish volunteers during Sunday services. Parents must sign children in and out.

Common Life: Liz lapiska

Parties and celebrations throughout the year are a big part of our life together. Don't forget to help the next time Joanne asks for your assistance!

Parish life and community; events, celebrations and feasts; potluck dinners; small group community dinners; hospitality to promote fellowship and intimacy in our parish family.

Coffee Hour: Katharine Benziger

Do you think the coffee just magically appears every Sunday after the 9:15 service ? Well, thanks to Katharine, it does! Check out the sign up sheet in the rectory to volunteer to help with this service. A great way to meet other parishioners and help our community grow!

Lay Pastoral Care:

This committee provides support during times of special need - whether it be the birth of a new child or the death of an old friend or spouse. It means so much to have someone from the church show up to remind that you are remembered and loved. Call Maureen to join this ministry to the sick and needy.

Funeral Receptions: Carol Sherwood

Help Carol to arrange the reception, or just be ready to bring food - call Carol to join the team that does much to frame the sensitive events around the death of a loved one.

Lay Eucharistic Visitors: Bob Anderson, Betsy Moore

Lay people who are trained and commissioned to take the bread and wine of the Eucharist out to parishioners who are unable to come to church due to illness or infirmity. They are sent out by the deacon at the end of the Sunday service to share the feast and fellowship of the Eucharist.

New Member Ministry: Alex Villasante

This group's charge is to welcome and provide hospitality to visitors at St. Andrew's, and to make them feel at home and welcome.
